Yangnyeom Chicken (Korean Sweet & Spicy Fried Chicken)
Korean-style fried chicken coated in a sweet, tangy, and spicy sauce. You simmer the sauce yourself, so it tastes just like the takeout version.

Add 1 tbsp red chili powder, 2 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp soy sauce to a pot or wok.

Add 1 tbsp water and 4 tbsp corn syrup.

Add 2 tbsp ketchup and 2 tbsp minced garlic.

Finally, add 1 tbsp gochujang (red chili paste).

Mix well, then bring to a boil.

Once it bubbles, turn off the heat, let it cool slightly, then transfer it to a sterilized jar to store.

To use the sauce, fry the chicken until crispy.

Tips
1 tbsp is 15 ml and 1 tsp is 5 ml. Simmer the sauce once, let it cool slightly, then store it in a sterilized jar so you can keep it for a long time.
