A crisp highball of whisky topped up with tonic (or soda) and a squeeze of lemon. In five minutes you can enjoy that nice-bar taste right at home.

Ingredients (per glass)

  • Whisky30ml
  • Tonic water (or soda)120ml
  • Lemon (or lemon juice)1
  • Iceto fill

Directions

    Step 1

    Cut the lemon in half, set aside one slice for garnish, and squeeze the rest for juice.

    Fill the glass to the top with ice.

    Pour in 30ml of whisky first.

    Top up with 120ml of tonic water (or soda).

    Add the lemon juice for a fresh aroma and tang.

    Garnish with the reserved lemon slice and the whisky highball is ready.

Tips

Fill with plenty of ice so it stays cold to the last sip. Pour the tonic slowly and stir only gently to keep the fizz.
