Steamed Corn Cake
A soft and fluffy steamed corn cake made without an oven — just a steamer. Mix canned corn into the batter, steam over medium heat for 15 minutes, then rest for 5 minutes and it's done! Great as a kids' snack and easy enough for anyone to make.

- Milk1 cup (approx. 200ml)
- Canned corn1.5 cups (approx. 300ml)
Directions

Beat the egg in a bowl and mix in the sugar.

Add the milk and mix, then sift in the cake flour, baking powder, and salt and stir to combine.

Add 1 cup of canned corn and mix.

Pour the batter into a mold about 70–80% full, then top with ½ cup of canned corn. Adding extra corn on top makes it look nicer.

Place in a steamer that is already steaming and steam over medium heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let rest for 5 minutes to finish.
Tips
Steam on medium heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes for an even fluffier texture.
