Salmon Steak with Tartar Sauce
Golden pan-seared salmon paired with a bright, tangy tartar sauce. Searing the salmon and asparagus in garlic-infused oil makes this a restaurant-worthy meal.

- Plain yogurt (optional)2 tbsp
Directions
- 1

Season the fresh salmon all over with salt and pepper. Slice the garlic and cut the asparagus in half. Mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, honey, salt, pepper, minced onion, and minced pickles to make the tartar sauce.
- 2

Finely mince the onion and pickles for the tartar sauce.
- 3

Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a pan.
- 4

Add the sliced garlic and cook until golden.
- 5

Once the garlic is golden, add the salmon to the garlic-infused oil and sear.
- 6

When the salmon is halfway cooked, add the asparagus and cook together.
- 7

Plate the salmon with the seared asparagus and top with tartar sauce to finish.
- 8

The base sauce (without pickles and onion) doubles as a salad dressing and keeps well in the fridge. Fresh salad pairs nicely in place of asparagus or garlic.
Tips
For extra tang, stir 2 tablespoons of plain yogurt into the tartar sauce.
