Rabokki (Ramen Tteokbokki)
Tteokbokki and ramen simmered in one pot for a saucy, slurp-worthy rabokki. Chewy rice cakes and noodles in a sweet-spicy broth — just like a Korean snack bar.

Ingredients
Main
- Tteokbokki rice cakes1 cup
- Fish cake1 cup
- Instant ramen1 pack
- Green onion1 stalk
- Water2-3 cups
Sauce
- Sugar3 tbsp
- Gochujang1 tbsp
- Soy sauce2 tbsp
- Red pepper flakes1.5 tbsp
Directions
- 1

Prepare all the ingredients.
- 2

Pour 2 cups of water into a pot and add the rice cakes and fish cake.
- 3

Add the sugar first, and once it starts boiling, add the gochujang, red pepper flakes, and soy sauce, then keep boiling.
- 4

Add the ramen and green onion last.
- 5

Break the ramen in half before adding so it's easier to eat.
- 6

For a brothier rabokki, you can use up to 3 cups of water and it still seasons well.
- 7

Once the noodles are cooked, add the green onion and bring to one more quick boil to finish.
- 8

Serve with leftover gimbap or fritters for an even tastier meal.
Tips
Adding the sugar first lets the sweetness soak into the rice cakes. If you love broth, use a generous 3 cups of water.
