  • Tteokbokki rice cakes1 cup
  • Fish cake1 cup
  • Instant ramen1 pack
  • Green onion1 stalk
  • Water2-3 cups

Sauce

  • Sugar3 tbsp
  • Gochujang1 tbsp
  • Soy sauce2 tbsp
  • Red pepper flakes1.5 tbsp

    Prepare all the ingredients.

    Pour 2 cups of water into a pot and add the rice cakes and fish cake.

    Add the sugar first, and once it starts boiling, add the gochujang, red pepper flakes, and soy sauce, then keep boiling.

    Add the ramen and green onion last.

    Break the ramen in half before adding so it's easier to eat.

    For a brothier rabokki, you can use up to 3 cups of water and it still seasons well.

Tips

Adding the sugar first lets the sweetness soak into the rice cakes. If you love broth, use a generous 3 cups of water.
