Pork Satay (Indonesian Babi Sate)
Babi sate is a beloved Indonesian street food. Ground pork is blended smooth with garlic and onion, seasoned with kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce), shaped like a sausage around a chopstick, and pan-fried until golden. You can make it easily without skewers, and its sweet-savory flavor is perfect with rice or as a drinking snack.

Tips
Traditional satay is skewered on bamboo sticks and grilled over charcoal, but here we shape it around chopsticks and pan-fry it for an easy version. Kecap manis is Indonesian sweet soy sauce; if you don't have it, substitute regular soy sauce with a little brown sugar dissolved in.
