Soak the leaf gelatin in cold water for 10 minutes until fully softened. In a saucepan, combine the cream, milk, sugar, and the vanilla seeds scraped from the pod, then heat over low heat until just before it starts to bubble. Squeeze the water from the softened gelatin, stir it in, let cool briefly, then pour into serving cups.
