Quick Naan (Bread Shortcut)
A super-quick shortcut that mimics Indian naan using sliced bread instead of dough. Sprinkle it with water and press it flat in the pan for a plain naan perfect for dipping in curry, or add mozzarella for a cheese naan.

Ingredients
Ingredients
- Sandwich bread3 slices
- Water4 tbsp
- Mozzarella cheeseas needed
Directions
- 1

Cut each slice of bread into 4 pieces.
- 2

Heat a pan over high heat and toast the bread on both sides.
- 3

Lower the heat, sprinkle 2 tablespoons of water evenly over the bread, and flip once on each side. Use 4 tablespoons in total.
- 4

Press down firmly with a press, and use a spatula or chopsticks to keep the bread from sticking to the pan as you brown it on both sides.
- 5

For cheese naan, top the water-sprinkled, flattened bread with mozzarella cheese.
- 6

Flip the bread over so the cheese melts.
- 7

Scrape the bottom with a wooden spatula, then flip once more on each side.
- 8

Your light, nutty flatbread naan is ready.
