Mu Namul (Seasoned Radish)

A simple seasoned radish side dish that both kids and adults love. Julienned radish is stir-fried in scallion oil until soft and mild.

  • Julienned radish1 bowl
  • Green onion, chopped1 shot glass
  • Rice water1/2 paper cup
  • Perilla oil1/2 shot glass
  • Soy sauce1/3 shot glass
  • Sugar1/3 spoon
  • Minced garlic1 spoon
  • Sesame seeds1 spoon
  • Salt1/3 teaspoon

    Heat perilla oil in a pan and stir-fry the chopped green onion to make scallion oil.

    Once the scallion oil is fragrant, add the julienned radish.

    Add 1/2 cup of rice water.

    Add the minced garlic, sugar, soy sauce, and salt.

    Stir-fry over medium heat until the radish is fully cooked.

Tips

Using a julienne peeler gives the radish a nicer texture and appearance. Radish aids digestion and is good for easing rhinitis, dieting, blood pressure, and skin health.
