Menbosha (Chinese Shrimp Toast)
A Chinese-style shrimp toast, made by stuffing plenty of minced shrimp between slices of bread and deep-frying until golden. Crisp outside, juicy and springy inside — perfect as a snack or with drinks.

- Sandwich bread4 slices
- Shrimp300 g
- Starch2 tbsp
- Egg white1
- Salta pinch
- Peppera pinch
- Melted butter1 tbsp
- Olive oil1 tbsp
Dipping Sauce
- Sugar1/2 tbsp
- Oyster sauce1 tbsp
- Ketchup1 tbsp
- Vinegar1 tbsp
- Minced garlic1/2 tbsp

Trim the crusts off the sandwich bread and cut each slice into quarters.

Clean the shrimp and mince them finely.

In a bowl, combine the minced shrimp, starch, egg white, salt, pepper, melted butter, and olive oil, and mix well into a paste.

Sandwich a generous amount of the shrimp paste between two pieces of bread.

Deep-fry in oil preheated over low heat until golden brown.

In a bowl, mix the sugar, oyster sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and minced garlic to make a dipping sauce, and serve alongside.
