Stir-Fried Garlic Scapes
A savory side dish of crisp garlic scapes stir-fried in a sweet-and-spicy sauce of soy sauce, oligo syrup, and a touch of chili powder. Perfect with rice or packed in a lunchbox.

- Chili powder1/2 tbsp
- Soy sauce2.5 tbsp
- Sesame oil1 tbsp
- Oligo syrup3 tbsp
- Minced garlic1/2 tbsp
- Water120~150ml

Rinse the garlic scapes and cut them into 3–4 cm pieces (about two finger-widths).

Mix all the sauce ingredients together to make the seasoning sauce.

Pour the sauce into a large pan, add the garlic scapes, and bring to a boil over high heat.

Once it boils, reduce to medium-low heat and simmer gently, stirring, until the sauce reduces and glazes. Turn off the heat and finish by drizzling in 1/2 tbsp oligo syrup and sprinkling with sesame seeds using the residual heat.
