Mandu (Korean Dumplings)

These are homemade Korean dumplings (mandu) shaped by hand. A generous filling of pork, tofu, and finely chopped vegetables is wrapped in dumpling skins and folded with care, making a hearty batch the whole family enjoys. Make plenty, freeze them, and steam whenever you like.

Sauce & Seasoning

  • Coarse salt3 Tbsp
  • Sugar3 Tbsp
  • Black pepper4 tbsp
  • Soy sauce120–160 ml

    Finely chop the onion, garlic, chives, and glass noodles, then wrap the tofu in a cloth and squeeze out the moisture thoroughly.

    Cut the pork shoulder into small pieces, then blend in a mixer until finely ground.

    In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped vegetables and glass noodles, tofu, and eggs, then season with salt, sugar, soy sauce, and pepper and mix evenly to make the dumpling filling.

    Place a suitable amount of filling on each dumpling wrapper and fold neatly, then portion them out and store in the freezer.

Tips

Make a big batch at once and freeze it, so you can steam the dumplings whenever you need a quick, satisfying meal.
