Dubu Kkaennip Jeon (Tofu-stuffed Perilla Leaf Pancakes)
Fragrant perilla leaves wrapped around seasoned tofu and pan-fried golden. Meat-free, but every bit as satisfying.

- Perilla leaves10 leaves
- Flour1/3 cup
- Eggs2
- Salta pinch
- Black peppera pinch
Directions

Cut the tofu into pieces that fit inside a folded perilla leaf.

Drain the tofu on paper towels, then season with salt and pepper.

Dust the inside of each perilla leaf with flour.

Place the tofu inside, fold the leaf in half, and coat the outside with flour.

Dip the stuffed leaves in beaten egg.

Pan-fry on a preheated pan until golden on both sides.
Tips
Drain the tofu well — it keeps the oil from splattering and helps the leaf stay sealed.
