Chop Steak (Beef & Veggie Stir-Fry)
An easy chop steak made with leftover steak beef! The beef is stir-fried fast over high heat with garlic, onion, and bell pepper, then finished with a steak-and-oyster-sauce glaze for tender bites — great as a snack, drinking food, or side dish.

Ingredients
Main
- Beef steak (cubed)400 g
- Green bell pepper1
- Onion1/2
- Garlic cloves7-8 cloves
- Saltto taste
- Black peppera little
- Buttera little
Sauce
- Steak sauce (or tonkatsu sauce)4 tbsp
- Ketchup2 tbsp
- Oyster sauce2 tbsp
- Oligo syrup1 tbsp
Directions
- 1

Cut the beef into bite-sized cubes. (It helps to take it out of the fridge about an hour before cooking.)
- 2

Season with salt and black pepper.
- 3

Slice the garlic, and cut the onion and bell pepper to about the same size as the beef.
- 4

Mix 4 tbsp steak sauce, 2 tbsp ketchup, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, and 1 tbsp oligo syrup to make the sauce.
- 5

Melt butter in a pan and sauté the garlic.
- 6

Once the garlic is fragrant and golden, add the onion and bell pepper and cook them only about halfway.
- 7

Add the seasoned beef and sear.
- 8

When the beef has lost its red color, add the sauce and stir-fry quickly over high heat to finish. (Overcooking makes it tough.)
Tips
Take the beef out about an hour before cooking and stir-fry it quickly over high heat so it stays tender. You can use tonkatsu sauce instead of steak sauce.
