Bibimbap (Korean Mixed Rice Bowl)
Bibimbap is one of Korea's most iconic one-bowl meals. Assorted vegetables and stir-fried pork are arranged over warm rice, topped with a gochujang sauce and a runny fried egg, then mixed all together before eating. With simple ingredients and easy preparation, it makes a hearty and satisfying meal.

Sauce
- Gochujang2 tbsp

Julienne the onion, carrot, and zucchini and set them aside.

Make the sauce: combine 2 tbsp gochujang, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1.5 tbsp sugar, sesame salt, sesame oil, and 1 tbsp vinegar, and mix well.

In a pan, stir-fry the carrot with a pinch of salt until its color brightens.

Stir-fry the zucchini as well with a pinch of salt.

Cook the onion with 1 tbsp soy sauce over medium heat, stir-frying long enough to caramelize it and bring out its sweetness.

Stir-fry the julienned pork seasoned with salt and pepper; once cooked, toss it with the prepared sauce.

Arrange the stir-fried vegetables and pork over warm rice, top with a runny fried egg and 1 tbsp of the sauce, and your bibimbap is ready! Mix everything well before eating.
Tips
The key is to stir-fry the onion long enough to caramelize it and draw out its sweetness.
